On October 10th, Thesis founder Matt Luongo launched a proposal on the "WBTC Decentralization Roadmap" at Threshold. The idea is not to pre-merge, but to slowly increase the number of signatories to WBTC, avoid changes to related contracts, and maintain the current market structure. Phase 1 - BitGo and BitGlobal join the Threshold Network (1 month) Phase 2 - Establishing a free decentralized path for WBTC holders (3-12 months) Phase 3 - Decentralized WBTC operating expenses (over 12 months).
